SORMAT INAUGURATES RUSKO FACTORY EXTENSION AND ANNOUNCES PRODUCT INNOVATION
New S-KA Through Bolt stands for safer building

Sormat Oy, the Finnish company manufacturing and marketing fixings, have upgraded the logistics centre and production facilities at their factory in Rusko, Southwest Finland. Today a new 2500 sq.m. warehouse building was inaugurated, and in addition, the company presented its new product innovation, the S-KA Through Bolt, which has been awarded the ETA Option 1 certificate.

With their new warehouse and production facilities, Sormat are upgrading their logistics to a whole new level of efficiency. In addition to the new warehouse building, production work has been improved by installing a new packaging line and a laser-controlled automatic warehouse truck operating between production and warehouse.

“The idea of the upgrade is to ensure maximum efficiency of the work phases involved in assembling and packaging our main product, the Through Bolt, at the same time bringing cost savings both for us and for our customers. In addition, there will be a significant reduction in monotonous and physically heavy work phases, which in turn will have a direct effect on personnel well-being and on absences due to strain injuries at work,” says Managing Director Ismo Laitakari of Sormat.

Sormat takes the lead with its new Through Bolt

Sormat today made an official announcement on the launching of its S-KA Through Bolt, which has been awarded the highest ETA Option 1 class technical approval. This allows the use of the CE marking.

“We are one of the few manufacturers whose range includes ETA 1 classified Through Bolts for safe building. Thanks to better-than-ever performance and service properties the Through Bolt is suitable for even the most challenging applications,” explains Sormat’s Product Development Director, Herve Nicot from Germany.

The S-KA Through Bolt is user-friendlier than ever, offering users a logistic advantage. Technically, the Option 1 S-KA replaces all the other Through Bolt option classes. It is no longer necessary to stock several different options for different applications. This means that using the Option 1 S-KA, there is less chance of error, and you save money because of the lower stock requirements. Above all, though, the Option 1 S-KA Through Bolt offers a tried and tested alternative for demanding applications and safe building.
