Ismo’s Insight:  As the saying goes, only thing that is certain is uncertainty. The saying seems to fit well these unpredictable times that we are living. In the construction business, though, the fundamental basics of safety and reliability should be carved in stone, unaffected by economic cycles.
 
New demands set by life-cycle thinking, energy efficiency and environmental objectives demand new structural solutions from the architects, engineers and builders. And as a manufacturer and designer, we have to meet their demands, naturally. Sometimes we’ll adjust a shape here, modify a feature there, but one thing is certain today and tomorrow: the price-quality –ratio, reliability and safety of our products will never be compromised, whether the curves in the statistics and forecasts point up or down.

NEW & NOTABLE: KBRM LIGHT CONCRETE SCREW FOR POROUS BASE MATERIAL
Sormat aerated concrete screw KBRM is designed for fixings in porous base materials, such as aerated concrete and expanded clay aggregate concrete. KBRM can be installed without predrilling into the base material. The screw has so called nano coating as a surface treatment which allowes the screw to be used also outdoors. NEW & NOTABLE: SORMAT LAUNCHES SHOP-IN-SHOP CONCEPT  IN RUSSIA!
Sormat Oy teams with long-time Russian partner F-Expert and local specialized distributors in launching Sormat Center shop-in-shops in major Russian cities. The first Sormat Center was opened in Kazan, city labeled as “the third capital of Russia”, on October 14th this year. Plans are to open in total 10 Russian Sormat Centers in the future.
 
Shop-in-shops are specifically designed shelf sets to boost sales and strengthen Sormat brand visibility in the stores. Shelf sets have distinctive visuals such as posters and banners which help customers choose the right fixings for their needs.   “We wish to support our distributors with a presentable and functional point-of-sales concept so they can fully concentrate on providing end-users with the best service and solutions”, Sormat Managing Director Ismo Laitakari emphasizes. Sormat shop-in-shop concept is now available for all markets and can be tailored to fit existing shelf structures, available floor space and product range or be delivered as a complete turnkey solution. SORMAT SAYS: UPDATE ON THE NEW  ERP  BUILD UP-PROCESS!
Sormat’s new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) -system build up –process is now in its piloting stage. The new ERP solution by Epicor will modernize and develop key corporate functions and further strengthen the aspects that Sormat is already known for: agility, flexibility and excellent supply certainty. We will keep you posted on the progress of the implementation!

Sormat will be present in the Russia’s leading building and interiors exhibition, Mosbuild 2012, on 10 – 13 April 2012. Our stand will be located in Pavilion 3.
